This is gonna be short and sweet.....
My computer has decided to die - after seven years, hundreds of college papers, thousands of photos and music downloads it is kaput! Which is a bummer I had been playing my workout DVD's on the laptop so I could do yoga in another room - away from Wade's eyes so he couldn't poke fun at me while I did the poses.
However, it hasn't been all bad running without a computer. I finished reading a book - The Lady Who Rode Bucking Horse - the Fannie Sperry Steele story. Awesome book by the way!!!
And I have started painting again - really having fun with it! Hope to post some photos of them soon!
But I have limited computer access right now folks. Maybe this weekend I can get a new one.
Which brings me to my next update - weekend. Saturday we are running all 300 cows back through the chute for their next round of scour vaccine. Don't know what scours are? Think bovine diarrhea. Then we are going to sort off all the first time heifers to keep on our place and the ol mama's will be shipped to a different farm to calve. It's going to be a cold muddy mess....
Cold that reminds me of what is going on today. Temperatures are falling tonight we are expecting single digit temps and -20 windchill....I am going to sleep in my coveralls. Amen.
I hope all is going well in your blogger world!!!
I really enjoy your blog! I've nominated you for a Liebster Award! http://aprilscountrylife.blogspot.com/2013/01/ive-been-nominated.html
ReplyDeleteYikes, sounds like you've had a crazy week! Good luck with all of that this weekend - I hate working cows in the cold! So excited for your heifers to calve soon though!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything, and honestly, getting 7 years out of a laptop is amazing.
ReplyDeleteSo funny because I'm pretty much in the same boat! My computer, which I've had for about the same about of time is on it's last life. It's barely putting along. I also hide to exercise, except for running. Riley always gets a kick out of whatever I'm doing and I don't really like that. Try having a couple of monkeys crawling on your back while you are in plank position. It adds a few degrees of difficulty. Hope things go your way!!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way, I do my workouts in the bedroom and if Wyatt comes in I stop and wait for him to leave. SUPER awkward and he thinks I'm weird but he was a college football player and exercise science major so he is all about playing coach and instructing on proper form, etc.
